Playing With Water

Just a short video of me tuning and recording glasses for a track on the album.

I actually put this one on my second YouTube channel a month ago or so, but I figured that it’s good/interesting enough to put on my main channel after all! Just as an extra “hey, remember that I have a website and that an album is coming soon!” thing.

Dude, that’s awesome! I didn’t know it was possible to play with glasses until I saw The Wind Waker Unplugged. Psyched for the album :D

  • FreddeGredde (author) said:

Haha, yeah, I guess it has sort of become my specialty. ;) Thanks! Hope you’ll like the album.

    Fantastisk!! Når kommer albumet ut?

  • FreddeGredde (author) said:

Tack. ^^ Den 13e Augusti är planen!

  • Andreas Rønningen said:

Nice! Blir det mange låter som ikke ligger på youtube?

  • FreddeGredde (author) said:

Ja, jag har ju bara tre egna låtar på youtube, och det blir helt egenkomponerat. Så, cirka 60 minuter ny musik. ^^

sounds great! And very nice websites :)

Jouer avec l’eau est assez impressionnant. J’aime beaucoup l’originalité de ton jeu de musicien, et d’ailleurs tu es un vrai musicien ;) Félicitations pour ton travail ! Continue ton art et bon courage.

I guess you can understand french too ^^ you have to know some people from here listen your music.

    Continue comme ça !

    Merci beaucoup!

Actually, I already know that I’m relatively popular in France. :) According to the YouTube statistics, 10.1% of my viewers have been from France! That gives you the seventh spot on the list. ;) (The US is first with 32%, followed by Sweden, Canada, UK, Germany and Australia. For those who are interested..)

  • Steven said:

Oh really? That’s cool! ^^ Anyway, if one day you decide to make a french song or cover, I would glad to listen it ;)

  • FreddeGredde (author) said:

Well, I sang in French in “The Cartoon Medley”. ;) Hmm… I don’t think I’ll ever sing a full cover in French though.

  • Steven said:

Yeah the Smurfs or “les schtroumpfs”. I enjoyed this part…as the others =)

Wow Freddie you’ve accomplished what you said you would. Love the website. Congrats!

That’s awesome! I’m impressed by the number of instruments you play. You should do a short post about your musical history, people will love it! :)

  • BigLord said:

One cool thing that I really like in you: the out-of-the-ordinary instruments that you use. You really love creating harmonies using them, don’t you man? :)

Haha, nice vid, although I saw it on your second channel allready. As for the question whether short vids should be on the main channel as well, it´s kind of twofolded. To me you have created kind of the idea the if there ever will be something uploaded on the main channel, it will always be something epic, so I am more commited to watching all the vids on the main channel. If you will do all your vids on the main channel, people might become less interested in it. Maybe you could do something á la freddiew, where he has a special channel for the behind the scenes stuff and some random stuff, and in his main vids, he clearly pointed to the second channel and its vids. Just an idea, but it might work…

The short videos made me feel like I could relate to you more, and that you weren’t just a famous youtube guy from Sweden that I could never know anything about. They give a short insight into you, and while your second channel seems to be for the hardcore fans, a short one (Even something like the Google Guitar song) every now and again would work wonders for the fans!

Also, the vocal harmony at the end makes me weep with joy.

Is that for the extended version of The Wayfarer on Thirteen Eight?

    Link: It is.. :)

  • DeAnne said:

Oh, Freddie. You’re so creative! I honestly CAN NOT WAIT for your album to come out. My mom heard me laughing when I started watching this video; she couldn’t understand why I was so happy that you were using plain old glasses as percussive instruments. But, seriously, this makes me smile, and I am so excited that your style is “good enough” to make a label!

Greetings from Brazil!!! I really like your style and your musics, I hope you’ll keep improving your talent!

  • Zach said:

Fred, you are awesome. I love your music. I’m trying to start recording and posting on youtube. Do you have any suggestions? Zach, USA

  • FreddeGredde (author) said:

Thanks Zach! Hmmm.. My suggestion if you intend to make POPULAR things is to be creative. You can’t just make normal covers, because they’ve already been done. You need to come up with something NEW! Something that will make people go all “woah, this is pretty cool! Gotta show it to my friends!”, because otherwise, it’ll be hard to get more than 1000 views.
    So yeah, good luck. ^^
