Thirteen Eight Preview

14 September 2011 14 comments

A preview of my debut album Thirteen Eight.

My plan was to post the animated music video for The Star Song yesterday, to promote the release of my album, but it turns out that the guy making it still has lots left to do with it (even though it absolutely promised it would be finished by August). So, this little preview will have to do for now, and hopefully the next real video will be up soon.

the star song video seems like it’s gonna be super cool :)
“Den som väntar på nått gott, väntar aldrig för länge”
“He who waits for something good never waits too long” (Just gotta love google translate ;))

Camilla: I agree, the first third of it is finished, and I think it really deserves to become one of my most popular videos. :)

    “Here we go!” Lol, awesome.

Sounds amazing, Euphoria and Time Will Tell sound especially good so far. Can’t wait for the CD!

There are so many things I love about this album, and I keep discovering new ones. Like, I totally forgot about how you play water glasses! And THAT’s that beautiful mysterious noise in The Wayfarer!

Yep, this CD was definitely worth the wait.

Is it just me, or is The Star Song just one huge Super Mario Galaxy reference? Cause its great!

Harald: Hehe, actually it is! But the music video will still make it a bit more.. different, I’d say.

I’ve listened to Beside me a lot and I love it, but hearing it in the new video, sounds like it got re-mastered or something, sounds so much better!

Ben: Well, it’s re-recorded, with much better equipment. :P So it’s no wonder it sounds better and more crisp!

    Hey Fredde,

Just had to tell you, your talent is amazing. My wife and I are both musicians. I find what you do very interesting. We both look forward to future works. Having grown up bouncing all over the planet to the same locations I did as a child was also quite fascinating to learn.(a unique challenge for a talented kid). Good luck in what you pursue my man you rawk!!!!

I literally just bought the album on iTunes. I still remember when I discovered ‘Lonely Starlight’ and I was like “Wait, the guy who makes those funny medleys…also does prog rock?”
I’m a huge fan of all your work, but as a huge progressive rock fan, I can also wholeheartedly say you are one of my absolute favourite artists. up there with Dream Theater, Opeth and Pink Floyd.
Just…argh just keep doing what you do man. You rock. And in a completely non-gay way. I love you ;)

Oliver: Your words mean a lot to me, so thanks! :) Hmmm.. Being so completely “swallowed” by the making of my new album, and having no idea if the material is even good or not, it feels nice to hear that there are people who like my progressive elements, since the new CD will be 100% prog. :D
