Portal 2 | 10th oct 2022 | 8:15hrs | rating: 3,5/5
A sequel with a lot of new mechanics and plot.
GAMEPLAY: Same portal mechanics as the first game, but with more gimmicks like various liquids that make the puzzles more linear and predictable.
AUDIOVISUALLY: Definitely a lot more detail, while still looking clean and iconic. Wheatley is quite funny but a little too much at times.
STORY/PRESENTATION: This is definitely the strongest aspect of the game; the lore and how you gradually discover it is great as you travel through old test chambers from the early days of Aperture Science.
MULTIPLAYER: There’s a completely separate co-op mode, but I haven’t played it much, this time.
Despite the much beefier content and even better story, the puzzles are often more limited and the pacing really drags towards the end. I think I like the first game more overall.
