Quite a foresty music video for the song Unraveled Lies.
Alright, this is the next song from my upcoming album Eyes on the Edge. It was always among people’s favorites during the demo stages, and I think the end result is pretty nice too.
We originally shot a music video in Manila for this song as well, but the guys who were filming and were supposed to edit it, they stopped getting back to me. So, my friend Pernille and I made this one just a few days ago in a forest next to a tiny tiny Swedish town called Lingbo!
It was fun, and I like how it came out! :)
Hi FG. It’s really great ,no words. Excellent, well done!
Thank you, Niko! :)
Hi FG. It’s really cool, there are no words. It’s completely different. Well done,
excellent. On two guitars it would be generally super.
I still haven’t heard all the songs from Eyes on the Edge, but this one is absolutely one of my favourites so far!
Although, now I really wonder what happened to the original video and the guys that were supposed to edit it?
Oh well, this video turned out really great anyhow! I don’t know how the scenery in Manila was going to look in the video for this song, but the beautiful forest-y nature of Sweden really goes well with this song!
From one Swede to another, I salute you! :D
Thank you, Zagharanof! :) Well, the other people got busy I guess, and rather than admitting that they wouldn’t have time, they just stopped replying completely. It happens! The one filmed in Manila was mostly set next to the coast as well, but no forest shots of me. But instead, there was a girl in the video, who’d symbolize the girl in the lyrics of the song! I honestly think this one we made in Sweden probably turned out better.
Thanks! It’s always good to get some more behind the scenes scoop about videos like this. :D
I think that just having you in the video as the “person telling the tale of the girl” is better. That way the viewers gets to create their own image of the girl. This song brings up lots of emotions and that’s one of the things that I really appreciate about it.
If the guys, who where supposed to edit the original video, would contact you again and offer you their finished product, would you still accept it and upload it to YouTube as an alternative video or would you just drop it all together since they didn’t keep their part of the deal to begin with?
For some reason, this song makes me think of Merida from the Pixar movie Brave.. even though the content really doesn’t fit in with her. Just a funny tidbit. :)
I suppose why not post their version as well. “More content is never a bad thing”, is what I’ve been told.
Thanks again! :)
