For today’s update, I had planned to show you some graphs of the opening amount of views for my videos, just to see how the Killer Queen cover is doing compared to my old videos! (Yes, I’m childishly captivated by graphs and statistics.) But It’s still a bit too early to say how it’s doing, so instead, I’m going to show you an old video game cover I did in 2007. It’s almost five years old now, so it’s a bit rough on the edges, but still!
It’s the opening theme from the NES classic “Solstice“. The intro was spectacular for being on that console, and it’s basically a prog rock song (my favorite genre), so I just had to try to remake it with real rock instruments. And here it is:
You can hear the original here.
Haha, you seem like such an analytical fellow.
Regardless, hell yeah, awesome song. It’d be awesome if you re-made it with the skills you have today. Perhaps add it in a new medley, or something. Cheers!
I found you from listening to your Killer Queen vid. I love your song Beside Me. It is reminiscent of early YES. Well done bro.
Cool, thanks! :)
Dude that is sick!!! Made me think of Rush.
This makes me want to jump into a NES game! nice work again!
Mmh, LIKE!!!
Holy shit you totally did this song justice brother! Thanks for taking Nintendo’s most bad-ass theme and doing it right! You gonna do some Wizards & Warriors themes anytime soon?
Jake: I haven’t heard any Wizards & Warriors music, and I don’t really wanna do stuff unless there’s some nostalgia involved. :) So no, but thanks!
