Wow, a year has passed already, but it feels like a month or two. Either way, I have to tell you that my projects (new album and a classical medley) will be delayed a few months, because life is life and stuff happens.

I figured I could share a bit of information though, and let you know that I’m totally alive. (I’ve seen some stupid rumors online..)

So, here’s a first draft for the album cover:

The track listing will be as follows:
1. Welcome the Bright Skies (5:45)
2. The Autotelic Self (11:04)
3. Your Life (2:59)
4. This Fragile Existence (5:49)
5. The Tower (8:20)
6. Shining (4:01)
7. Ocean Mind (18:24)

Basically, it’s a progressive rock album, not gonna lie! Plenty of crazy ideas, odd time signatures, heavy contrasts, everything I personally like with music. :)
But it’s not gonna be for everyone. That’s why I’ll also release The Classical Medley around the same time, which will be more in line with what most expect from me! And it’s my most ambitious medley yet, and hopefully the best.
I’d say it’s likely they’ll both be released around.. early March. (Edit: Make that May… New edit: Make that June! Final edit: Wooo, July 14th it is!)

So yeah, please look forward to that, and have some happy holidays!

I’ve decided not to post any new updates or videos until my next album is finished. So, don’t expect to see anything new from me until late 2013 or so.

In case you didn’t know why I haven’t posted anything new in several months now, it’s because I’ve gone back to studying, again! Just the subjects Swedish and English, but it’s enough to keep me busy..

I have finished my parts for the next “big” video though, but I’m waiting for a bunch of animators to finish their parts. I’m having some trouble even getting in touch with them now, so I don’t know how far they’ve come. But I doubt it will be up this month. So, possibly November! I also plan to make something Christmasy this year, but we’ll see.

Finally, that clown video is supposedly finished soon, so I expect an October release. I’ve only contributed with vocals, guitar and some video to that project though, so I’m not too involved with it. Will be interesting to see the final results!

What more could I say.. Well, I’ve added some sheet music and more tabs to my tabs section. There’s actually a nice guy named Erik who has offered to write down sheet music for my songs if anyone is interested, so tell me if you want any specific song!

As a little side project, I’ve recorded vocals for a friend’s song. He’s also about to make a pretty weird music video for it, so now I’ve filmed my part as well.

I’m curious to see the final results! If it turns out well, I might post it on my youtube channel.

What you see above is an example of what my next video will look like! And I know, many will think “nooo, not another animated video, we want to see YOU”. But unlike The Star Song (which is one of my personal favorites), there will also be shots of me playing and singing. So I think I’ll find a good balance this time!

Also, although the story is new, the music will actually be based on something familiar. But I will keep that a secret for now! It’s my most ambitious project though, so I hope it’ll turn out well!

Animator Needed

Want to animate a new project? Here’s an opportunity for you!

Haha, singing that was kind of dumb. But, fact is that I need to find an animator who can make some nice animations for my new project! I can’t tell too much about it, but it will be kind of a fairytale (so CGI wouldn’t fit too well), and the video will be a mix of shots of me playing and singing, and animation. The video should be finished before August is over!

So, if you are an animator, please contact me, along with a sample of what you can do. If you know someone who might be interested, you don’t need to tell me. Instead, ask that person to contact me.

Chosen animator will get paid! Possibly with gold.

A few weeks ago, a guy contacted me and asked if I could make a cute song for his project, but he wanted me to make an example before paying. So I made this little chorus demo:

But when I sent it to him, he said he wanted more samples, and I naturally can’t spend every day creating songs for free, so I told him to come back when he’s decided that he wants to hire me to make his song.

He never did, so I figure that I might as well post it here for you now! I don’t think it would fit my next album anyway. (And also, if the song does show up somewhere in the future, this post is proof that I made it!)

Lots of picture updates now, even though I “should” be all about music, but since I’m making drawings for people who choose the “Extra” option when buying my CD, I figured I might as well post them on my website! So, here’s the new page, which will be updated now and then.

Here are a couple of examples, just to make this post a bit meatier!

So I was at a combined zoo and amusement park yesterday, called Furuvik or Furuviksparken! I went there many times when I was a kid, but hadn’t been there in at least 10 years, so it was fun for nostalgic reasons as well. It also has an “adventure island”, which includes a real coastal military battery, used in the world wars. Took lots of pictures, and what follows is some of them!

There’s currently a competition going on, in which people can send in home-made jingles for a painkiller called Ipren.
So, I made one! It was only a quick little project, finished in a day, but hopefully I’ll win anyway! :D Who knows!
