The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap | 1st Mar, 2023 | 12:58hrs | rating: 3,5/5
Explore the surroundings from a bug’s perspective as you occasionally shrink to save Zelda.
GAMEPLAY: Standard Zelda stuff, with the jump cape being the highlight, game mechanically. The dungeons are quite linear, and a lot of the meat is simple side-quests.
AUDIOVISUALLY: The music is mostly remixes, but the visuals are really nice, with impressive large scale sprites and charming animations.
STORY/PRESENTATION: Quite forgettable story, but quite polished overall.
It’s a cute adventure, but feels restricted and handholdy. The kinstones and figurines are boring side-quest material that never feels rewarding, so there’s little more to do than the 5 dungeons.
